Our safe haven, Barnes Hall, opened its doors to the children in September 2018 and is the first of its kind in St. Thomas. We provide children of all abilities, aged 0-17 with a free and safe environment to play, learn and create twice a week (soon to be full-time). We are particularly inclusive of children and young people with disabilities and have wheelchair access.
On Wednesday’s Barnes Hall opens for children to play, receive basic literacy and numeracy classes, do arts and crafts and talk freely about things that matter to them. Children enjoy dancing, especially ballet and traditional Jamaican dances.
On Sunday’s we host Kidz Klub where children learn about their identity in Christ and enjoy learning about how we are to treat others and view ourselves. Children also have an opportunity to read, relax and receive their basic numeracy and literacy classes.
